How Having Pets at Home Help Promote Values

How Having Pets at Home Help Promote Values

Today's guest post comes from Hillary Smith.   Hillary Smith loves technology and hasn’t met a gadget that didn’t catch her attention. After graduating from the Northwestern Medill School of Journalism, Hillary began a career as a freelance writer focusing on the telecommunications industry. She works out every day and spoils her English bulldog, Chauncey. Maybe it will happen over Christmas time. Maybe it will happen on your child’s birthday. Maybe it will happen on some idle Sunday … [Read more...]

Marathons: a vision for Christ’s church

Marathons: a vision for Christ’s church

While I finish up radiation treatments, this have been a little quiet here on Growing Kids Ministry.  I thought it might be a perfect time to share a few guest posts.  The following is an excerpt from Talking with God (released March 21st).  Read more about the book and the author, Adam Weber at adamweber.com.  I am not a runner. But, my friends, I am feeling discouraged. I begin radiation next … [Read more...]

What a Difference A Day Makes {Cancer Update}

Just a few short days ago, my husband and I were delighted to be eating lunch outside, strolling the streets of Disney Springs, and listening to the amazing speakers at the Children's Pastor's Conference.  It was refreshing to be with Children's Ministry leaders from across the country and to catch up with friends. Many people had read my original post about our journey into cancer and were asking for an update. I was happy to report that all seemed to be going well. I have finished seven … [Read more...]
