We’ve been using the Tru curriculum in our Children’s Church program (and loving it!). During the Remember and Celebrate week, I wanted to review the stories we had already covered with the kids in a fun way. Want to see what we did? Let’s get started!
What You Need:
- Small pictures of Bible characters (I used these)
- Construction paper
- Optional extras: Tissue Paper, Stickers, etc.
What You Do:
Give each child a small Bible character. If you have a large group of kids, you may want to make a “Moses” table and a “Joseph” table, etc. That way, kids can discuss their character a bit before creating a landscape for them. Encourage kids to think about some part of that particular character’s story and draw the picture around them. Here’s what a few of our kids came up with:
Joseph in jail after Potiphar’s wife told a lie about him.
Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden
Moses and the burning bush.
It was fun to see what part of the story really stood out to the kids and when they shared their pictures with the rest of the class, they helped everyone review without even knowing it! 🙂
What About You?
What is a fun way you review lessons with your Children’s Ministry kids?
