A few years ago, we did a super fun unit from Discipletown called “How to Use My Bible”. We taught the kids all about the Bible dictionary, index, concordance, along with maps and atlases. Of course, we started to look for ways for kids to practice using these “Cool Bible Tools”.
One week, after I had taught a lesson on on the 12 Spies (Numbers 13), I assigned a key word from the story to each student. I set up tables like the picture below, complete with crayons and cool Bible tools.
The kids were to look up their word in the Bible dictionary (or whatever Bible tool was on their table) and then draw an appropriate picture.
Afterwards, we pieced them all together to make this video:
The kids loved the final product and we can use it as a review tool as well!
