Have you gotten a chance to check out the Tru curriculum from David C Cook yet? I just back from The Gathering conference and I was so inspired by all the cool stories I heard from people who were using Tru in their churches. We’ve been using it in our Children’s Church program, and I have to tell you, this curriculum is JAM-PACKED with ideas, activities, and truths to share with little ones. The curriculum is designed for an hour and a half service, so if you’re program runs shorter than that, you’ve got lots of flexibility when it comes to choosing your activities. If you’re like me and only have the kids for about 30 minutes during Children’s Church, you can even stretch out the lessons to get even more bang for your buck!
Did you know that you can try out Tru for FREE for a month? (You can even look at full samples here.) It’s a great way to take a look at the lessons, share them with your team, test them out with the kids and see the difference between Tru and other curriculum. As Michelle Anthony has said so many times before, it’s so much more than a curriculum — it’s a philosophy — it’s creating an environment where kids can really encounter the Holy Spirit. I have to agree. So head on over to the Tru website — it’s worth a look!
