New Friends at #CMLeaders!

Besides the great teaching I received at CMLeaders, I also got a chance to make some new friends and meet some blogger friends in real life!  Very fun!  Let me introduce you!

Wayne Stocks: Wayne and Tony were some of the first kidmin bloggers I met online. Wayne is constantly developing new ideas and great resources for kids and those who love them.  I got to know Wayne better when I served as a contributing author on his site Kidmin1124 and it was such a pleasure to meet him in person!  You can find his blog here.

Barbara GravesI became a fan of Barbara from her constant tweeting about coffee.  For a weeks there, it seemed like we both had a serious case of insomnia and were always on twitter in the wee hours of the morning.  When I found out she was headed to CMLeaders, I was excited to meet her.  Though we didn’t get to share a trip to Starbucks, I had a great time chatting with her and hearing a bit about her ministry, especially since she talks with a southern accent!  You can find Barbara’s blog here.

Tom BumpTom is a fellow Children’s Ministry blogger that I had bumped into a few times online (pun intended!)  It was great to sit across from him at the blogger table and hear a bit about his current life journey.   Looking forward to seeing his blog develop more!

Commander Bill: This guy is a fellow Pennsylvania man, though he is all the way on the other side of the state.  He was a lot of fun and seriously knows his stuff about Awana.  Don’t be thrown off by his crazy cartoon avatar and his lack of any identifying information on his twitter profile, he’s totally cool.  Check out his site here!

Frank TanThis guy is unbelievable when it comes to contest winning.  I think he has seriously won 70% of the contests I run on this site, and I promise I am either using Random.org or that weird helicopter raffle thing.  Frank was one of the bloggers who joined in on the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog series (though, I don’t think ANY of us finished!!) and we’ve been online blogger-friends ever since! Frank, do you still have a blog?  It seems like all the ones on your blogger profile are a bit outdated.  Hm….

Ron Brooks: I got to know Ron by watching his conversations with all my other kidmin friends.  He’s very active on Twitter and apparently has just published a book!  You can find his blog here.

Barbara and Tracy from Cincinnati: These lovely ladies approached me right before dinner on Thursday and we all headed out to find some grub together.  We were hoping for Olive Garden, but the place was packed, so we crossed the street for some Chick-Fil-A instead.  Barbara and Tracy job-share their Children’s Ministry position, with each lady putting in about 15 hours of work each week.  I absolutely love this concept and was so glad I got to talk to them a little bit about it.  Their church is roughly the same size as ours, so I’m hoping to keep in touch and brainstorm together in the future!  Of course, I didn’t get any contact information from them, so ladies if you’re reading this — leave a comment!  :)

Ben Fowlkes: Ben used to work with Barbara down in Georgia, but through a series of God-coordinated events, he now finds himself in Ohio.  I had the pleasure of talking with him and his apprentice Jonny while sitting around the blogger table and amazed his ministry story (the small part I heard).  You can find his site here and check out this page for some great FREE curriculum!

If I’m forgetting someone, please comment or contact me.  I’m totally exhausted but wanted to get this out!
