Prayer Experience {The Gathering}

Prayer Experience {The Gathering}

One feature component of the Gathering each year is the prayer experience. It's a hands-on, full-sensory experience designed to connect the participant with God in a real and refreshing way.  This year, the stations went in order, detailing the Big God Story.  I tried to grab a few pictures, but it was tough with my finicky camera and low lighting.  If you have some better pictures, be sure to leave a comment.  I'd love to grab them from you! The Gathering: With, not For: Moving Past the Need to be People-Pleasing, Fix-It, Know It Alls |Megan Fate Marshman

Wow. I think that's the longest title I've ever used.   I've been hanging out at The Gathering for the last few days in Costa Mesa and having an amazing time.   When you're writing up your budget for next year, I seriously encourage you to add this event to the list. It's the best.  Really.  It is. Yesterday, I got the opportunity to attend Megan's breakout session entitled "With, not For: Moving Past the Need to be People-Pleasing, Fix-It, Know It Alls". We began by taking a look at the … [Read more...]

God is With Us {The Gathering} Megan Fate Marshman

Today, with Megan Marshman (who I love hearing from, by the way), we're going to be looking in the book of John. Have you ever thought about how MUCH God the father loves Jesus? Think about it. How much does God love his son? Perfectly, right? John 15:9 says, "As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you.  Now remain in my love." Wow. That's a lot of love. God loves you so deeply.   He wants to be with you. In community with you.    In a real relationship with … [Read more...]

God Gives Us Sight {The Gathering}: Michelle Anthony

Pondering this year's theme of "What Does God See?", we wonder how do we begin to see things as God sees them? If we are going to see what Christ sees, there are a few non-negotiable things: I will never be God and I will never fully see things via His perspective I will never fully understand how the struggles and problems I'm experiencing bring Him glory One day when Jesus was out with his disciples, He notices the crowds dwindling.  Christ turned to his disciples and said, "Will … [Read more...]
