We’ve been working on learning more Scripture around the house. The kids all love projects, so I tried to pair up a few projects with some key verses I’d like them to learn. Kelli, over at 3 Boys and a Dog blog, has also created some great memory verse handwriting practice printables.
John 13:34: Love One Another
When we did this project, we had been talking about loving each other all week. John 13:34 fit perfectly into this theme, as does Proverbs 17:17. For our project, we drew people we loved and then glued hearts all around them.
Psalm 27:14: Wait for the Lord
We covered this verse in May during our Wednesday night program (252Basics). The theme for the month was Patience and I found some really fun Patience videos that I thought I’d share with you!
Zac Efron and Elmo: Seriously, how can you go wrong — appeals to all age groups, right?? 🙂
The Patience Song by Have Fun Teaching: I’m not sure if the kids will get into this, but I think I could catch myself listening to it!
This one is a little long (it’s a 5 minute countdown) and the pictures are a little cheesy, but I love how they used street signs and all that! It’s the 252 song of the month, so it fits perfect for me! When we showed it at church, the kids loved it too! Crazy kids!
Ephesians 4:32 Be Kind to One Another
We had a lot of fun with this verse. We focused on “being a good friend” all week and came up with some great friendship activities including this life size poster of a good friend.
Hope you can use these in your ministry!
Until next time!
