A few years ago, I made some prayer cards to help kids during prayer time. The cards provided both some focus and gave kids ideas if they didn’t know what to pray for. Recently, we were learning about prayer in Children’s Church, and I thought it might be fun if each child was able to make their own set of prayer cards.
What You Need:
- Clip art related to kids lives (sick person, love heart, families)
- Index Cards
- Laminating sheets and Laminator (optional)
What to Do:
Explain to the kids that you’re going to make cards to use during prayer time. Have them pick out some clip art they like (or have stickers available) and glue them onto their index cards, writing a caption such as “sick people” or “help me to love others” beside the picture.
After kids are done cutting, gluing and writing, run their cards through the laminating machine. Kids seem to love this and it helps the cards last longer!
Re-cut the cards if desired and put them in a ziplock for the kids to take home.
