This is actually a story time from last year, but I just realized I never posted about it and you never know when someone might need some ideas for a Mammoth themed event!

For our book, we read:

How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth

It’s a very light-hearted book and the kids loved guessing about what was going to happen next.

For our craft, we were inspired by a craft seen on Learn, Create, Love.  Click on over to that blog to get the free printable template.

We cut most of the pieces out ahead of time for the kids, but also had a few extra pages in case kids wanted to do their own cutting.

After they glued the mammoth together, we encouraged them to color the woolly beast.  For some reason, a few kids decided they needed to add rocks to their creations as well!

We also had Eye Stickers for the kids to use, which they loved.
