This picture is a little late, but it’s how we decorated the wall for our “Friendship Month” in April.
Our key verse was Proverbs 17:17.
If you didn’t use this theme with your curriculum already, it would be a great focus for summer!
This was the background for our gathering area. We meet in the gym, so we have be able to remove things quickly and easily if another event is scheduled. I used clear command hooks on the wall and and foam board to make the posters. I hot glued some rope onto the back of the posters in order to hang them. Below the posters, I put 8×10 picture of the kids.
Here’s a closer view of the picture poster. We took “friendship” pictures the week before and had them developed at Walgreens. Everyone stopped by the poster to check it out!
This is my super-cool back-lit sign that we use each week to tell parents what we will be learning about. Don’t mind the messy office!
Here’s a closer look at the Friendship poster. When I was introducing the theme at the beginning of the month, I put glue all over my hands and shook the kids hands during the welcome. When they started complaining, I told them that I must have gotten carried away with the glue, but the stickiness would remind them about friendship!
I love Children’s Ministry!
