“Bible” — that’s a given!
“Propitiation? Man! I’m never going to get a bingo!”
We’ve been working on ways to help our preteens engage in the sermon more at East Lake Road Alliance. Every other week, the kids stay in the sanctuary and listen to the pastor. Then, on their “off” weeks, they go to a class and use “Cool Bible Tools” to dig deeper into the sermon and to discuss with a teacher any questions they might have. We use different types of listening sheets (check them out on my Pinterest board), but every once in while, we like to throw in a little extra fun. And what could be more fun than BINGO!
You know the premise — kids listen to the sermon and mark off whatever words they hear. Afterwards, they head to the Children’s Ministry office for some candy!
