Review Night!

Review Night!

Recently, we had a review night with the kids and since I'm always looking for fun and creative ways to review with kids, I thought you might be too!  Here's what we did: Step #1: Create questions from your recent lessons.  Many lessons have review questions at the end, so this might be a fairly easy job.  Write the questions down on index cards and hang on wall. Step #2: Divide kids up into teams.  We tried to keep the ages mixed up so everyone had a fair shot at winning.  Kids were … [Read more...]

Sunday Snapshot: Christmas Jeopardy Game

Afterwards we played Christmas Jeopardy, a favorite among our kids! In case you can't see it, the categories are: Songs, Traditions, Events, Places, and Characters. I made the … [Read more...]

252Basics: Feedback Email

At the beginning of this year, we started using the 252Basics curriculum.  About 6 weeks into the curriculum, one of the costumer service representatives emailed and asked for my feedback on our experience.  Here's what I wrote: Thanks for the email! I am happy to provide some feedback. We have been able to implement the 252 Basics curriculum.  Currently, we have 6 people on the team including myself.  I serve as the worship leader, storyteller, and assistant, and everyone else is a small … [Read more...]

Little Angel’s Bible Storybook Review

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Tyndale House Publishers to see if I'd like to take a look the Little Angel's Bible Storybook.  I'm always interested in checking out new kids' Bibles -- both for my own two kids and as a resource for parents in our Children's Ministry program.  So of course, I signed up to check it out. When it arrived, I was struck by one thing on the cover -- Roma Downey's somewhat sultry face on the cover.    I don't know.. maybe it's the smoky eyes or the little half … [Read more...]
